| In foreign language teaching, we often encounter a problem of how to across the differences in culture between two different languages and strive to make the corresponding of native language and foreign language to be similar or identical in maximize.In verbal communication with others, everyone wants to demonstrate civility. Politeness is a major concern in communication between different cultures,"qing" in Chinese and "please" in English are most commonly words of expressing politeness in daily communication. But many beginners are easily equate them, in fact, in many cases they are unequal. They are equivalent or not, not only in its pronunciation, spelling and other aspects of the similarities and differences, but the main thing is still occasions in the real sense of community and its similarities and differences represent, that is, similarities and differences of its semantics, syntax, pragmatics. Through comparative analysis of the similarities and differences in using of "qing" and "please", and predict the difficulties that may be encountered in the learning process of the learners. Develop a questionnaire and makes error analysis, and using the results for foreign language teaching.The first chapter is mainly propose questions, explained the reasons of choosing the topic and its significance based on previous research. The third chapter is analysis the similar parts and different parts of "q I ng" in Chinese and "please" in English from the aspects of word form, semantic and syntactic and pragmatic. And respectively analysis the "qi ng" and "please" of the flexibility of the positions in sentences and omitted conditions, and the sentence types that they often appear. In the meantime, compare the "qing" and "please" from the pragmatic aspect, identify the common pragmatic functions, and by comparing the constraints in different language environment of them, draw the main differences between them in the pragmatic level.The fourth chapter apply the results of comparative analysis of "qi ng" and "please" into foreign language teaching. Through developing a questionnaire to identify the express bias of the foreign learners while learning and using "qing", then find the explanation for the bias.The fifth chapter by summarizing the preceding comparative analysis and biased investigation, presenting appropriate teaching strategies in teaching Chinese, lead the result of teaching Chinese more appropriate. |
