Study On Living Inheritance Of Waving Dance Of Tujia In Xiangxi

Waving dance is an important mark of Tujia culture because of its long history and profound cultural background. It contains strong ethnic characteristics and truly reflections of ancient Tujia folkway. As a wisdom crystal of Tujia people, Waving dance is an invaluable spiritual treasure. In2006, with the permission of the Sate Council, waving dance of Tujia is listed on the first batch of state-level intangible cultural heritage list. In recent years, along with the globalization and urbanization boom, some success have achieved in the development of Tujia waving dance. But the cultural forms and content of waving dance have new implications and changes, so the protection and inheritance of original waving dance are extremely necessary. The purpose of this paper is making a study on the inheritance of Tujia waving dance under the background of the non-material cultural heritage protection by means of the basic research method of the literature material law, field investigation and comparative analysis. In this paper, firstly, waving dance’s nature, survival cultural space and problems in the inheritance are analyzed. Secondly, the position and role of the government and the people, artists and other participants in the inheritance are discussed. Finally, some countermeasures of living inheritance are put forward, hoping the art treasures of Xiangxi adapts to the development of the times uniquely and eternally.This paper consists of introduction and four chapters to the thesis. The introduction expounds the topic reason and significance, reviews the recent research results, and clarifies the research methods and innovation of the paper. In the first chapter, the overview of the tujia waving dance, mainly including history, culture, function and art characteristics are introduced. In the second chapter, first of all simple statements of the source of the concept of the living inheritance are made. Besides, by the field investigation and data collection, a statement on the current situation of waving dance inheritance is concluded. In the third chapter, according to the information and data integration and analysis, four problems about government’s insufficient attention, weak heritage foundation, less money and lack of successors are put forward, and three dominant factors are analyzed. In the fourth chapter, in view of the problems and influence factors, the concrete countermeasures are put forward. First, perfect the current living inheritance mode, and then make a feasibility study on introducing Tujia waving dance into the local colleges and universities.
