Investigation On Cultural Actuality And Successive Strategies Of Waving Dance In Tujia Nationality

Waving dance is one of the representational traditional ethnic sports in tujia nationality. It is a symbol of Tujia culture and is also a crystallization of their ancestor producing and living wisdom. They left a sum of intellectual treasure, which has been definitely reserved and protected as one of the important non-material cultural heritages. This paper takes the methods of literature, field-expedition, and interview to inspect the current conditions and inheritance of waving dace of Youyang Tujia-Miao Autonomous Prefecture. In researching, it takes good in Taohuayuan-square, Houxi-Town, Keda-Town in Youyang County, otherwise, there is worse popular support in other place. Without enough attention by their leaders, and lack of popular support and professional help, it develops slowly. The author finds so many problems: Han people's culture permeating, lacking of national identities, ecological environment changes, the culture consumption style changes, western sports culture shock and national sports developed slowly and so on.The inheritance of waving dance is mainly influenced by government organization, experts, the folks, middle schools and business men. Different groups on inheritance have different benefit goals and motivations: government organization pays attention to their political profit, experts focus on the academic achievement, the folks are the loyal watcher, schools pursuit education target, and businessmen seek economic value. Those different conditions, especially to the inheritance of waving dance, which has been the centrifugal force. Therefore, the author suggests that there should be a concept of "the five parts as a whole "on waving dance, different parts play the different roles. The government organization plays leading role and corresponds different groups; the experts play scientific guiding role and provide support intellectually; the folks play subjective role and invite civil society to join in the "dynamic culture"; schools widen the popularization and advocate the important position of waving dance; businessmen push cultural industries forward and make sure it passed well. During the process of "five parts as a whole", each part exerts its power and then forms their power to the resultant force, and it will inject fresh energy to traditional culture, and Youyang, it will be a field which full of the florid nationality flower.
