With the development of society, improvement of people’s living standard and quality, music is penetrating into every aspect of society, from kindergarten to eight, ninety year old, all like singing. In China is about to enter the process of population aging, the growing ranks of the elderly, they gradually feel lonely, frustrated after retirement, they need more spiritual sustenance. With national attention on the spiritual life of the elderly, various universities for the elderly, elderly choir, vocal improve older classes have sprung up across the country for vocal learning in the elderly provides a good atmosphere. However, at home and abroad for early childhood music education, music education, and primary and secondary school music teaching has more discussion and research, on the contrary, Middle-aged classroom studies less vocal. Singing to the health of middle-aged and older people, especially the development of mental health, therefore, to explore vocal music teaching in the elderly is particularly important.The main topic of the author combines more than two years of teaching experience at the University of Hunan veteran from the following six parts to elaborate.The first chapter,"The Present Situation and significance of vocal learning in the elderly," the state from the social and psychological state of the elderly, analyzes common condition in older vocal learning and bring positive sense. The second chapter,"Comparison of middle-aged vocal music teaching and professional vocal teaching " The section from "learning objects","learning level","delivery of the course" and "learning objective" these four areas to explore and compare their differences in order to be able to vocal music teachers in teaching individualized, employ suitable for elderly vocal learning methods for teaching. Chapter3,"the problem in middle-aged vocal teaching" from a lack of basic knowledge of music theory, age, and the problems and limitations of physiological articulation begin analysis, pointing out the difficulties in older classroom teaching. Chapter4,"vocal teachers must possess the following qualities" are discussed from five aspects, first, to master the correct singing skills and theoretical knowledge; Secondly, it has the ability to properly demonstrate singing and piano accompaniment capability; third, with image vivid language skills; fourth, they must have a pair of good ears; fifth, more comprehensive cultural and artistic accomplishment and sisters subject knowledge.Chapter5,"selection and preparation a textbook", Vocal teacher should select a suitable preparation of vocal learning in older textbooks, consistent with sound features have been loved in older age groups. Chapter6,"middle-aged vocal teaching focus" for the problems found in the third chapter, to identify the focus of teaching vocal music in the elderly, that voice training in the elderly, songs artistic treatment to enhance the students’practical ability and stage classroom atmosphere active. Analyze specific issues and solve problems, make vocal music in the elderly has reached a new height.
