The Research Of Character-form Mechanism And Usage Of Characters By The Dongba Scripture Named <Exorcism Duo Ghost Ritual·burning Gaba Torches>

Dongba scriptures are classic manuscripts written by ancestors of Naxi to record their original religion. For writing this religious and ritual speech original hieroglyph, is called Dongba character. Dongba script is an original hieroglyphic symbol system in the intermediate stage of development notepad and ideograms, which keeps rather rich early stage writing phenomena, is of great value to study the early writing’s formation and development.Based on previous theories, This article using Dongba scripture data, from two entry points how the formation of character and how to express language, have a detail description of the phenomenon of Dongba character from the dangba scripture named<exorcism Duo ghost ritual· burning Gaba torches>.This dissertation is consisted of five chapters. Chapter one is an introduction. It presents the causes of topic selection, research purpose and significance. And it introduces this study’s methods and steps. The second chapter and the third chapter are main parts of the article, from the perspective of how the formation of character, and using character-form mechanism, The second chapter analyzes the original graphs formed by imitating mechanism and introduction mechanism. Also using changing or making up the basic graphs to get new graphs. The third chapter from the view how to express language, through using the loan characters and borrowing characters to spread the character symbols function to record Dongba characters. From the correspondence between the character and the language, we analyze the way Dongba characters cannot verbatim recording the language. It elaborates the single character, quasi-compound graph, and compound graph respectively, and its corresponding linguistic units. In addition, we also make an explanation on synonymous expressions, shaped almost word mixed use and words speechless. The fifth chapter is an excerpt of words in the template of Dongba scripture. Allow people have a more intuitive understanding on four parts translation.Researchs on the Dongba scripture, previous research do more analysis on words in the template, less studies. In this article, words in the template is just datum, we analyse more about the phenomenon.
