There are3reasons for thisphenomenon: the national policies of Jin and Yuan Dynasties, the leader’s equal treatment forthe female in Quanzhen Daoism, and women’s own reasons.During the Jin and Yuan Dynasties, The rulers mainly adopted luring measures to rope inthe Quanzhen Taoists, which laid the first stone for the development of Quanzhen Daoism. In Quanzhen Daoism of Taoism, the leaders and the upper layer treated the women in atolerant attitude, which expanded the number of the female Taoists. At that time, womencould join the Quanzhen sect for protection in turbulent time, while they could also go intothe Quanzhen sect to pursue their religious beliefs in peacetime.Compared with the male Taoists, the female Taoists had their unique mode of practiceand daily life.
