An ERP Study Of A Posture Judgment Task By Different Hand Preference

The embodiment research suggest that the body is important to processing and experiencing emotions, and processing the emotion information will activate the nervous system of emotion and motor. In other hand,operation of sensorimotor system will affect the processing of emotion information by individuals.The different individuals have a different body, the study of hand preference shows that it’s embodiment of processing the information of movement and emotion. So an whole body as the emotional information carriager should also be able to bring into the experiment of embodiment. In consideration of the contact between hand preference and the space emotional valence, we brings the constitution of left and right hands into the research also.This research adoption quickly responds method, with the whole body posture as the experiment materials, asked the subject to response to the information of the body posture, there is two experiment. In experiment one,the information of the picture is the whole body posture by right hand or lift hand, the task is to distinguish them and response to a right key. In experiment two, the information of the picture is the positive emotion body posture and the negative emotion body posture, the subject will have the experiment in different hand responses to distinguish the emotion. The first response model will arranged random on balance.Result in experiment one shows that righthanders distinguish the right hand posture is faster than lifthanders, and for lifthanders, it’s fast to distinguish the lift hand posture than the right hand posture. The ERP result suggest that, there is a difference in Nerve system between lift and right handers in the task of distinguish the right or lift hand postures,and the difference is similar in both situation.In experiment two, lift hand response will have more activates in the brain than right hand response when judging to the positive emotion. While judging to the negative emotion, the brain area of right hand response have more activates than left hand response. Test result suggest that, for individual observing the actions, mutually match with the corresponding of his own action experience. And processing to the emotion information of action, also mutually contact with sport experience of his own. To the right handers, left hand is contacts the negative emotion mutually, the right hand contacts with positive emotion mutually.
