According to the theory of embodied emotion, the change of posture is the reason for the change of emotion, which provides a new perspective for the study of emotion. However, whether the bring energy body posture considered by the West is applicable in the eastern cultural background and can achieve the same effect as previous studies needs further verification. In addition, whether the laws found in the laboratory can be extended to real situations needs further research. The study proposes two experiments to explore the differences in the effects of different body postures on emotion regulation in laboratory and field situations respectively,so as to provide convenient and feasible body postures for the public to improve mood, and further enrich Self-perception theory.Experiment 1 recruited 47 college students and randomly divided them into upright posture group, curved posture group, and free posture group to explore the effects of upright posture, curved posture, and free posture on state anxiety in a laboratory environment, the public speech task in the Trier Social Stress Test(TSST)was used to induce the state anxiety of the subjects. The three groups of subjects adjusted their emotions with different postures, and collected the state anxiety emotion and physiological indicators after the pretest, preparatory stage, posture manipulation and the completion of the Trier speech task. The results showed that:the score of state anxiety after preparatory stage was significantly higher than that of the pretest.(2)After posture adjustment, the score of state anxiety in the upright posture group was significantly lower than that in the bending posture group, and the score margin of state anxiety in the upright posture group was significantly lower than that in the free posture group; After the completion of Trier’s speech task, the score of state anxiety in the upright posture group was significantly lower than that in the bending posture group and the free posture group.(3)After posture adjustment, the index of the upright posture group Standard deviation of SDNN intervals was significantly higher than that of the bending posture group.Experiment 2 recruited 32 job seeking college students to participate in a field experiment, randomly divided into upright posture group and curved posture group, and used job interview situations to induce participants’ state anxiety. The state anxiety emotions and physiological indicators were collected during the pretest, preparation stage, after posture adjustment, and after the job interview. The results found that:(1)the scores of state anxiety in the two groups were significantly higher than those in the pretest after preparatory stage.(2)After posture adjustment and job interview, the score of state anxiety in the upright posture group was significantly lower than that in the bending posture group.(3)After posture adjustment, the heart rate of the upright posture group was significantly lower than that of the bending posture group.(4)After posture adjustment, the SDNN index of heart rate variability in the upright posture group was significantly higher than that in the bending posture group. This study explains the posture effect based on the theory of self-perception and the hypothesis of somatic marking. The experimental results suggest that the adjustment effect of upright posture is better than that of bending posture, which shows that the state anxiety is significantly reduced.upright posture is an effective way to relieve state anxiety. This study will provide posture reference for the public and improve interview performance.
