The paper is guided by the new theory, new perspective and new method of the advanced sedimentary petrology, reservoir geology and petroleum geology, aims at the study of sand mudstone of Kalashayi formation of Carboniferous at Lungu platform of the Lunnan area. Starting from the stratigraphic division and contrast, after that,collecting, analyzing and summing up the previous achievements, and observing and describing the stone core, and combining with logging, seismic data and production data with the macro analysis and microscopic research methods, through the multiple stratigraphic division and correlation of fine, the author has subdivided the Lungu platform area of Carboniferous sandstone and mudstone section into S1, S2, S3three layers. With analysis of petrological characteristics and sedimentary facies in more than90wells in Lunnan area, the sedimentary pattern with Kalashayi formation and the main types of sedimentary facies of Carboniferous platform Lungu area have been described, the delta, tidal flat, lagoon and platform four facies types and more than ten kinds of sub-facies types have been identified.Based on the single well sedimentary facies analysis and comparative study of connected well profile by four deposition, the sedimentary facies in Kalashayi formation aspect development has been illuminated; by using single factor analysis method, selecting and closely studying the features of formation thickness, conglomerate, sandstone and other rocks and different ratio of thickness and thickness of strata of different kind of rocks, sedimentary period of every phase has been quantitatively analyzed. Combined with the regional sedimentary background With the dominant principle the sedimentary facies distribution in different period has been pointed out and the sedimentary facies evolution model has been established.
