With the rapid development of mining industry and the even increasing of mining depth andmechanization degree, the wind flow control of mine is gradually a problem. The application ofmine air curtain will be more and more widely as the effective technology of wind flow control.The optimization design of wind structure has the important significance for improving theoperation performance and efficiency of mine air curtain, because of mine air curtain regulate thewind flow effect that is related to the structure of air supply. So the main research content is asfollow in the paper.1.For the mine air curtain as the research object in the paper, the parametric3D model of thewind was set up using Pro/E, the model support was provided for the numerical simulation ofinternal flow field of wind.2.The numerical simulation was proceed for the internal flow field of wind using Fluent inthe CFD, the result of numerical simulation were proceed to deal and analysis. The existingproblem on the structure was diagnosed, the initial solution of improving structure was provided,the main design parameter of the wind optimization was obtained through numerical simulationanalysis.3.The actual flow model of mine air curtain was analyzed through the single circular toobtain the optimized mathematical model, the preparation file was created for the integrated needof Pro/E, Gambit and Fluent. The integrated optimization design platform was set up in the Isight.The integrate of Pro/E, Gambit and Fluent were completed, The automatic cycle optimization"design-analysis-optimization-design again" of the wind structure was implemented.4.The wind structure was optimized through using the portfolio strategy of experimentaldesign method and the direct search method. The design space was proceed to search throughthe alliance of Latin hypercube optimal algorithm and Hooke joint-Jeeves algorithm, the optimalparameters of the structure was got finally.5.The numerical simulation result of optimization model was reprocessed, the X=0velocityand exit velocity histogram of center section was analyzed, and then the structure was furtherimproved, the wind structure was determined finally.6.According to the flow field numerical simulation and optimized result of the air supply, theoptimized mine air curtain was developed, the mine air curtain was comparative study for beforeand after the optimization.The numerical simulation and field application show that:(1) The export average speed ofwind machine for the original model was increased8.5%through the integrated optimization, the average speed of export was increased by6.6%through the actual measurement,The optimizedwind machine are more concentrated and uniform distribution and the pressure loss decreased by5%through the integrated optimization;(2) The development time are effectively shorten and theoptimization efficiency are improved through making multidisciplinary optimization theoryapplying to the optimization design of wind machine. The costs of optimization design can beeffectively reduced and the product performance can be improved through combing theoptimization design theory.(3) The numerical simulation results and field application data arebasic agreement, the data support are provided for the accuracy of numerical simulation, the newresearch ideas are provided for product development.
