The mining air curtain is a new type of chamber airflow control technology,which has been widely used in large and medium-sized mechanized mines in China,and it is proposed to solve the problems of insufficient ventilation and short airflow in the process of underground ventilation.However,the existing theoretical research and engineering practice show that the air curtain ejection airflow has limitations on the problem to solve the airflow regulation problem in the middle and multiple sections.Based on the view,this paper takes a copper mine in Anhui and a phosphate rock in Guizhou as an example,by means of combining the field measurement,Fluent software numerical simulation and theoretical research to clarify the three main factors for effecting the stability of the ventilation system,it is concluded by researching that the airflow field characteristics of the air curtain under the conditions of the single roadway,the middle and multiple section,and revealed that the flow mechanism of the air curtain under complex operating conditions.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)In a single tunnel,changing the air curtain fan power can be achieved on the tunnel airflow resistance,injection,partition.(2)There are limitations on air intake of the roadway or multiple section of the uninstalled air curtain for single air curtain operations or multiple air curtain joint operations,and quantify the effect degree of the airflow field for the air curtain on the middle or subsection section.(3)After installing of air curtain in the transverse drift or subsection of ventilation difficulties.The ventilation effect of mine is obviously improved,the increase is more than 20%.(4)It is revealed that the influence of air curtain position and fan power on the flow field of the airflow in the panel,and the optimal arrangement position and optimal fan power combination of multiple air curtain joint operation.(5)The ejector air curtain has limited effect to solve the short circuit problem in the middle part of panel,even simultaneous installation of air curtain in the panel three roadway,short circuit wind airflow has only 29.8%,short circuit air volume still more than 1/3 of total incoming air.(6)Using fluent software,three schemes are designed to simulate the airflow in the middle part of a 1# panel in a copper mine in Anhui,and the optimal scheme is selected according to the simulation results.The results show that after the joint operation of ejector and resistance air curtain,the short-circuit fault rate of panel is reduced by 50%,and the status of the inlet air flow in each roadway increases more than 10%.
