| Background:Epidemiological investigation conducted by our hospital for exogenous fever(acute upper respiratory tract infection)TCM syndrome type survey:Exogenous fever is divided into four types of exogenous cold, wind-heat, heat each end and toxic heat dampness,exogenous wind-heat type(acute upper respiratory tract infection) accounted for32.79%of the total. In order to effectively control the fever, cough, sore throat, dry throat, clinical manifestation of acute upper respiratory tract infection, according to our institute professor Chen Shaohong,and Zhang Xiaoyun treating exogenous fever should be as "Zhongjing theory" as the guiding ideology,"after three (sun, Yangming, Shaoyin), type four (wind-cold wind-heat, heat-dampness, damp-heat stasis)", combined with the characteristics of epidemic febrile diseases treating exogenous fever, develop traditional Chinese medicine preparation wind-heat particles for the treatment of exogenous fever acute upper respiratory tract infection clinical observation,and compared with western medicine acetaminophen, compare the similarities and differences between Chinese and Western medicine on the fever and relieve symptoms.Method:60patients divided into wind the heat particles (treatment group) and30cases,30cases of acetaminophen tablets (control group).Course of72hours,Observed in patients with fever situation,Include:①Immediate cooling effect;②The period between the two groups hypothermia compare;③From efficiency;④The antipyretic rate;⑤Comparison between the two sets of symptom relief rate;⑥Comprehensive therapeutic effect.Result:①The immediate antipyretic effect:paracetamol tablets was immediately obvious antipyretic effect is better than that of wind-heat granule group (P<0.01).②Comparison between the two groups each time temperature:there was a significant difference between the two groups after2,3,4hours of body temperature (P<0.01), but no difference in1,8,12,18,24,30,36,42,48,54,60,66,72hours of two groups of temperature (P>0.05).③The play efficiency:tthe4hours time visible efficiency control group was better than the treatment group, and8hour period results in considerable.④The antipyretic rate:in comparison of two groups of samples of12,18,24hours of heat rate, two groups in each period and was similar, no difference.⑤Remission rates of the two groups of symptoms:fever disappearance rate of the treatment group and the control group after72hours were92.31%and92.59%; cough, tears streaming cloud, thirst, headache, sore throat, and other aspects of the treatment group was significantly better than the controlgroup, in particular, thirst, headache symptoms, symptoms of treatment group was100%.⑥Comprehensive effect:the total effective rate was100%, the effective rate was7.41%. The clinical cure rate of the treatment group and the control group were46.43%,7.41%, markedly effective rate were46.43%,92.59%.Conclusion:With a predominance of acetaminophen group in the immediate cooling effect, heat and particle group and the the acetaminophen group effect quite in the full antipyretic efficacy.
