Antonio Gramisci as the leader of Italian Communist Party is the famous representative of Western Marxism. After the October Revolution in Russia of last century, the revolution of western advanced capitalist countries went to failure along the way of Russian socialist revolution. Faced with the International Political and Economic Environment, Gramisci summarized the practice both in Russian proletarian revolution and proletarian revolution led by himself. At last, he creatively stated his own ideological leadership with, Italian reality in his writing Prison Notebooks. Gramisci’s ideological leadership has the vertebration in logical construction and theoretical connotation is rich. This provides innovation to the Marxist philosophy.At present our study about Gramisci’s ideological leadership still has theoretical and practical significance. On the one hand, Gramisci’s ideology leadership provides a strategy choice for proletarian revolution in western advanced capitalist countries; on the other hand, it provides important significance for our socialist ideology construction. After Fall of Communism and collapse of the Soviet Union, strugglein state ideology between the East and the West countries becomes more severe. The hegemony culture of western countries provides enormous obstruction to our ideology construction. It is very important to advance ideology construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics under globalization. On the base of analysis to Gramisci’s original work, this article summarizes the connotation of Gramisci’s ideological leadership. I want to describe the theoretical and practical significance of the Gramsci’s ideological leadership accurately. Then I absorb the reasonable part of his theories to help our conturi’s socialist ideological construction.
