By the way of collecting and reshelving the dance gestures, the dance gestures of Jiangsufolk dance have been being collected. The collected dances are being classified into different stylesin their dance forms, functions and props. The dance vocabulary can be developed by the ways ofscreening, exaggerated repeating and deleting of spilt the dance gesture. The dance gestures can beexpanded and enriched. Meanwhile, the essay refines the characteristics of dance styles--gentleelegance in the south of Jiangsu; emotional and implied, graceful and clear, elegant and pretty in themiddle;simple bold in the north. All of them represent the researching value of Jiangsu folk danceand walk out the first step of protecting, passing on, developing and spreading Jiangsu folk dance.
