In the early of the20th century, we have been stepping a rapiddevelopment time of knowledge economy. Under the background in thissociety, the limited knowledge which modern students can study in theclassroom has not been able to meet their needs of future development. If thechemistry teaching in middle school also uses traditional "accepted" way ofteaching, it is difficult to improve the comprehensive quality of the students.However, different from the traditional chemistry teaching, the inquiringteaching of chemistry is a profound transformation from the concept to thepractice. It has played a positive role in the all-round development of students’all abilities and the training of students’ scientific literacy in chemistry. As animportant practical natural science course, chemistry holds many advantagesof carrying out the inquiring teaching. In order to practice inquiry teaching inchemistry teaching in middle school and provide appropriate examples forfuture teaching, the author is underway practical research on inquiry teachingof chemistry teaching in remote high school under the new curriculum reformwith the real situation of the Hulunbeier city.First of all,the thesis clarifies the subject’s background and significanceon the inquiry teaching. Secondly, the thesis discusses the basic meaning,essential characteristics, elements, implementation conditions and theresearch situation at home and abroad on the inquiring teaching. Thirdly,thethesis clarifies the relevant theoretical basis involved in the inquiry teaching,such as pedagogy, psychology and so on. Fourthly,through questionnairesand talking with students and teachers, the author analyzed the presentsituation of the chemistry teaching and studying in middle school in theHulunbeier city and also pointed out the difficulty and the necessity of theinquiry teaching. Fifth, the thesis clarifies the possibility, the strategy and theeffective teaching ways of inquiry chemistry teaching in high school with realcondition of the Hulunbeier city. With the working experience in middleschool chemistry teaching, the author designs the inquiry teaching examples in two types of lessons and applies them in the teaching practice. By nearlyabout one year of teaching practice and comparison between pre-test andpost-test, the author explains to use the inquiry teaching to avoid thedisadvantages in some degree, make the teaching more effective, andstimulate students’ interest in studying chemistry. At the same time it canchange passive learning into active learning, cultivate students’ lifelonglearning consciousness and improve students’ innovative ability andcomprehensive quality. Finally,the author repeatedly thinks and looks into thedistance which is based on the investigation result of the research,then theauthor explains the disadvantages of the research and the follow-up.The thesis tries to lay a theoretical and practical foundation to effectivelycarry out inquiry teaching of chemistry teaching in remote area high school,improve the overall quality of students, enhance the level of the teachers andadvance new curriculum reforms in the all-round.
