Japan and China are two neighboring countries which both belong to the Eastern Character CultureCircle, they also have the similar human background culture. Within thousands of years, the two countrieskeep continuous communication in many aspects such as history, economy, culture.Since Meiji Restoration, Japan had ended the state of seclusion and then started to enter theinternational society’s modernization process, meanwhile they aimed at the western countries, induceadvanced culture and Philosophy from Europe and America actively, including Art education. From thispoint of view only, the modernization tide of Japanese Art education can be regarded as a course ofabsorption and assimilation, from Eastern culture to Western culture. Along with over one hundred yearssince Meiji Restoration, the Art education and teaching methods of Japan has reached to an advancededucation theory of Art, this means a lot to the Art education of China in the reform stage, it tells us how to‘Take the essence, goes to its dregs’, gradually realize and play essential function of Art Education, whichhas a very important practical significance on amending model and method of art teaching.In this article, we get the view of the problems and deficiencies in China’s primary school arteducation and suggestions for improvement through the study of Chinese and Japanese primary school arteducation in all aspects and comparison. Analysis in specification, which can be described from thefollowing aspects chapter:1, The first chapter is mainly for the research of the development of the elementary school fine artseducation history between the two countries and compared, so as to bring the following further comparativestudy of various aspects.2, The second chapter to the elementary school fine arts education in both China and Japanrespectively the system background of study, teaching objectives and the specific teaching content,especially focus on the two countries elementary school fine arts education in the teaching content hascarried on the detailed comparative analysis, in which it is not hard to see Japan’s elementary school finearts education pays attention to the cultivation of the quality of children, attention to the personalityformation and the development of creative thinking, pay more attention to the balanced development of itself with other disciplines, it is to coordinate the important education way of the comprehensivedevelopment of children.3, The third chapter, through the understanding of the practical teaching status quo of China’selementary school fine arts education research, find out the elementary school fine arts education in ourcountry at present stage the actual development of existing problems, and calculated the elementary schoolfine arts education in China, existing problems and disadvantages put forward improvement suggestion andopinion, including the guiding ideology of the elementary school fine arts education in our country, specificteaching and teacher education in our country.Anyway, the purpose of study and research of primary school of both China and Japan is to find theshortcomings and deficiencies of our own, learn from each other’s outstanding education thought and idea,do not blindly follow and imitate the whole, contact the actual situation of China’s primary school arteducation, so as to create suitable for advanced education in our own way and method.
