An Research Of Talents Cultivation In College From The Perspective Of Social Stratification

At the end of twentieth century, our country started enrollment in institutions of higher education and the strategy of popularization of higher education. After ten years of development, higher education has achieved rapid development, the increasing number of colleges and universities, the scale of students has been ranked first in the world. College students are the elite in society, they are very valuable resources in the future of the nation. They shoulder the historical task of building socialism with Chinese characteristics and the comprehensive construction of modern society, the development of college students is related to the country’s future and destiny. However, in recent years, the growth of college students in China is well, but there is a big difference of the opportunity of higher education entrance, unfairness in education has not improved, it is on the other side of the healthy growth of college students, it not only hindered the development of individual students, but also disrupted in the normal order of teaching, also bring huge loss to the whole country and society. Therefore, this paper is mainly related to the sociological theory as a foundation, through the practice level to discuss the influence factors of family social stratification of students receiving higher education opportunities, and tries to study the current enrollment in local colleges and universities from the perspective of fairness. In this paper, using the social stratification social theory as the theoretical basis, take a college of the Zhejiang University of Technology as the research case, obtain data form student enrollment information registration and student interviews, it mainly investigated from four dimensions:families in, parents occupation, parental education, family economic status. Through the study of data, we analyse the different of educational opportunities for students of different family background, reveal the reasons of inequality enrollment opportunities, then create conditions for the growth of college students, from two aspects:the government to implement policies and improve the college students’ Ideological and political education of college students, to achieve the talents cultivation of college students.
