Short-distance cross-country skiing, as one of advantages in China’s ice and snow projects, needsathletes to have great physical fitness. By isokinetic testing ten great male cross-country athletes’ torso, shoulder, lip and knee main flexor group and analyzing muscle strength characteristics to study thecorrelation between muscle strength and slide ability, this paper aims to find out the main muscle strengthdata that affects sporting achievements of great cross-country athletes in physical performance training, toprovide theoretical reference for coaches to plan scientific training methods and to judge muscle effect aftertraining and give some help for a new breakthrough in the next Winter Olympic Games.Research Methods:1.Documentary review2. Experiment: Testing athletes’ torso, shoulder, hip and kneejoint flexor and extensor3. Field testing: Testing athletes’ sporting performance4. Mathematical statistics:Analyzing the data according to SPSS17.0Results:1. Main muscle strength characteristics of our great male cross-country skiing (short-distance)athletes: Torso’s fast flexor strength, shoulder joint flexor strength and muscle explosive are weaker. Hipjoint’s slow speed performance ability is poor and range of motion of knee joint isn’t balanced.2. Thereexists some positive correlation between glide ability and three indicators of torso’s muscle strength, fiveindicators of shoulder joint’s, five indicators of lip joint’s and five indicators of knee joint’s. R is close to1and there exists a significant difference (p <0.01);3. There is a negative correlation between glide abilityand three indicators of shoulder, lip and knee joint each; There is no apparent correlation between glideability and average power of knee joint’s right fast flexor.4. There exists some correlation among Quicklyleft side of the hip flexor monomer peak、The hip quickly left extensor unit weight power、The hip quickright side extensor unit weight function、The knee slow the left flexor average power、Knee Slow rightflexor average of power of the five indicators exist correlation (0<R <1)but difference is not obvious (p>0.01).Conclusions:1.Muscle strength indicator of great male short-distance cross-country athletes has highlyspecial characteristics, extensor group superior to flexor one, which show its specificity at physicalperformance training.2. The athletes’ joint muscle strength, speed and muscle explosive are better but theirbody flexor strength is not so good.3. In the light of the research and conclusion, Some theoreticalcharacteristics and glide capabilities related research,With macro positioning for further study of thecharacteristics of the project,Correlation study concluded,Provides a theoretical basis for guiding athletesbasis for coaches to scientifically guide athletes’ training is put forward.Suggestions:1. Pay attention to weight control and training muscle strength regularly in training; strengthen torso’s flexor group strength training under increasing speed properly.2.According to the characteristics ofcross-country skiing, reinforce shoulder muscle training volume and intensity, left shoulder flexion, faststrength training, torso’s muscle group training and left hip joint muscle strength training.4. Properlystrengthen left knee flexor and extension muscle strength training.4. Regularly estimate muscle strength byusing isoinetic muscle testing methods to improve athletes’ glide ability and training level.
