An Analysis Of The Career Choices Of College Students Based On Occupational Self-efficacy Theory

Our college graduates are facing a relatively severe employment situation in this time. On the one hand, the number of college graduates increases every year. On the other hand, the speed of the domestic economic development has slowed and the demand of employer for graduates in employment also declined. These two factors led to the prominence of the issue of employment of college graduates. This comprehensive attention to students ’employment problem, we can start from a number of levels, the author found that the students individual subjective cognitive state is one of the key factors affecting their employment after the research. Therefore, the study of students’tendency not only can help the college graduates rational choice, more can provide theoretical guidance for the school career guidance work, has certain theoretical significance.This paper based on the theory of Bandera’s self-efficacy, combined with the career choice theory to study the tendencies of contemporary college students’ career choices. This paper summarize the study of the theory and results of previous at first, on this basis, the college students as empirical research object, using a questionnaire research method, through variance analysis and correlation analysis, draw the relevant conclusions:(1)In terms of occupational self-efficacy, the concept of traditional gender roles on people’s professional occupational self-efficacy still has a great influence; different grades, different genders, different professional career self-efficacy also has highlighted differences; urban and rural students from different sources there are no significant differences in the level of occupational self-efficacy.(2)Sources of different gender, grade, professional, urban and rural students in three dimensions that prestige and position, the personal security and career development tendency is no obvious difference.(3)The occupational self-efficacy of college students and college students’ career choice tendency exists significant correlation. There is significantly positive correlation between prestige status and future development trend, but the personal security factors are not related.The research shows that occupational self-efficacy has significant effect on the tendency of college students’ career choices. Therefore, the college can take appropriate ways to influence students’ occupational self-efficacy, and thus tend to guide their career choices to be more realistic and reasonable. Take effective means of education can help students to build scientific and reasonable career goals, such as to carry out the career planning education and carry out the education guidance, to obtain actual effect.
