The current period of time is critical for development of subject librarian system,in the context of social transformation, the modern library has put forward higherrequirements for the knowledge and ability of the librarians. It’s impossible to achievethe reification and institutionalization of modern library’s concept without innovatingthe service concept and perfecting the system. Especially in the university library, theservice quality of the subject librarian will directly determine the students andteachers’ initiative and spontaneity of acquiring knowledge. In addition, it couldprovide more professional and intellectual service for students and teachers throughthe process of strengthening the service quality evaluation of subject librarians, andthat has the irreplaceable auxiliary function on the development of teaching andscientific researching. But the are some errors in the process of service qualityevaluation, such as the subject librarian’s service behavior is not standard, theknowledge structure is unreasonable,the service mode is old and low-level and theservice scope is narrow.These errors may lead to the the library service become theimage project and influence the long-term development of university libraries.Therefore, it has important scientific significance and practical guidance to researchthe subject librarian’s service quality systematically.This thesis based on the basic theory of the service quality evaluation of subjectlibrarians,researched the present situation and the existing problems of the subjectlibrarian service,put forward the corresponding countermeasure,finally established theSubject Librarian service quality evaluation index system.First,the thesis proposedthat the basic problems existing in the current university subject librarian serviceincluded the information service concept is not scientific,the personnel structure isunreasonable, the information resources and support system is not perfect,information service content is not in-depth, information service mode is notinnovation,then according to these issues it put out the correspondingcountermeasures,including strengthening the disciplinary information service teamconstruction,promote subject information service model innovation,improve thesubject information resources and support,perfecting the subject librarian informationservice platform and carry out service quality evaluation.Given the importance ofservice quality evaluation,at end of the paper,it established a set of scientific and reasonable service quality evaluation index system,including three aspects:servicecapacity indicators, service performance indicators and service assurance indicators.
