Mineral resources is the depletion of non-renewable resources, is the material base on which human survival and social development, a direct impact on the productivity of a country. The economic value of mineral resources research is one of the important problems in the mineral resources economy theory research in China, how to carry on the scientific and effective value of mineral resources assessment is an important task. With the emergence of20GIS technology to the early60s, after half a century of development, GIS technology applied in various industries, to mineral resources economic value theory research provides a scientific and efficient new way of thinking. To the requirements of the region of the relevant departments, in a region of mineral resources spatial database has been established on the basis of design region of mineral resource economic value evaluation system.Mineral resources spatial data database is the important basis to evaluate its economic value. Spatial data model is mainly experienced three stages:CAD data model, Coverage data model and Geodatabase space data model. Geodatabase data model belongs to the relation data model, object data is the mainstream of GIS spatial data organization model of the data. Mineral resources assets besides has the nature of general assets, due to the properties of the mineral resources, also has the following features:consumption gradually, the depletion of resources, the physical assets into currency form; Mineral resource asset’s economic life is long, economic change in economic value; The use of mineral resource assets is not sufficient. In order to fully realize the economic value of mineral resources, must rely on a third party.Currently, the main information and mineral resources value evaluation methods are:discounted cash flow method (earnings), than selling (marketing), about when investment-discounted cash flow method, income method), the replacement cost method, geological exploration and method, etc. These estimates method is a simple method based on the financial cost of mineral resources reserves and grade, for other factors of the value of mineral resources mining conditions such as resources, location conditions, commodity supply and demand less consideration. This article introduced the GIS technology to build the spatial database and the value of mineral resources assessment system can be on the distribution of mineral resources, present situation, the mineral resources reserves of mineral resources planning, mining area visual display, such as transportation, water and electricity facilities distribution, comprehensive analysis of the influence factors of mineral resources value, value evaluation of resources to provide decision support.This paper firstly analyze the economic value of mineral resources, through to the region of geological data collected in the initial stage and mineral resources of data preprocessing, Geodatabase data management technique is adopted to establish the region based spatial database of mineral resources. And then to the current research situation of the mineral resources economic value evaluation method were discussed, analyzing the characteristics of the region of mineral resources, analyzes the influence factors of its value, the targeted choose reasonable method to calculate the value of mineral resources, mineral resources to build a economic value evaluation decision support system. In the process of research in this paper the main results were as follows:1. Based on ArcGIS platform, use Geodatabase space data model, through the analysis of the e-r diagram and the establishment of a region of mineral resources based spatial database;2. Based spatial database of mineral resources, mineral resources for economic value assessment provides the data support;3. Refer to the relevant industry mineral resources economic value evaluation method, based on the characteristics of a region of mineral resources, choose scientific assessment method;4. Based on ArcGIS and related components as a platform, developed the basic spatial database operation interface, using c#and related components developed a region of the mineral resources economic evaluation system.
