Whether in engineering surveying, photogrammetry, GPS measurements or geographic information systems, whether for surveying production management, or for the optimal design of control network, there are many problems can be solved by the methods of operations research This article describes the various branches of the theory of operations research, and in reference to previous studies, based on the discussion of the various applications of operations research in surveying production management, data processing, digital image processing and geographic information system construction. Specifically discussed the applications of operations research theories such as linear programming, goal programming, integer programming in surveying production management. Through an example to illustrate the application of linear programming method for detailed mapping solution production schedules. While a detailed analysis of the parameters when conditions change and other issues, how to apply sensitivity analysis, integer programming methods.
