Underground gas storage is an artificial gas reservoir formed by reinjecting natural gas from long-distance pipeline into underground space. S4gas storage is part of SQ gas storage group, positioning for the seasonal peaking and dealing with the sudden events. SQ hill zone is located in one province of our country, and S4hill is located in the central of the hill zone. With a flat surface and developed traffic, the production in the hill zone is well. After completion it can take full advantage of favorable resources, meeting the requirements of the natural gas market at area of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei. It could also optimize the energy structure of Beijing, Tianjin region and promote the development of regional low-carbon.Oil and gas exploration began in the early1970s, and the oil and gas reservoirs was found in1985.lt is gas a condensate reservoirs without oil ring. Producing reservoir is Paleozoic Ordovician Fengfeng Formation and Upper Majiagou Formation, and the cover reservoir is Paleozoic Carboniferous-Permian. Gas-bearing area covers11.5km2, and reserve category is class I, with6.355×108m3natural gas reserves.Aiming at the position, the feasibility is analyzed on the trap, structural variation, coverage features, reservoir physical property, gas property, reserve scale, gas recovery ability and etc. Results of the geological study show that, the block geological reserves are large, with a certain scale. The reservoir is single and else the cap sealing and the role of boundary faults is relatively good. Permeability and porosity is at a lower level, the effective thickness of the reservoir varies in the longitudinal and the transverse direction, but the thickness is still relatively great. Overall, the S4reservoir has the basic geological conditions to build a underground gas storage. In the gas reservoir engineering studies, production reports are used to calculate the bottom hole flowing pressure and the formation pressure. Then the pressure data is used to determine deliverability equation and dynamic reserve of the reservoir, and to evaluate the ability of injection and production. The results show that, gas reserves is larger, recovery percent of reserves is high, and all this can provide favorable conditions for the reconstruction of gas storage. In addition, the operation parameters are designed, which are the ground to perform the storage building project.
