In the northeast cold regions of our country, the accumulated snow layer with certain thickness was formed on the ground. The fresh water that is formed by the accumulated snow melting is very important in spring, as well as significant to people’s production, life, and farming. However, with the arrival of spring, the accumulated snow begins to melt in a large area. As another form of snowmelt flood disaster, the accumulated snow affects people’s daily life, the safety of life and property. So, this research on snowmelt infiltration rules in the cold regions has extremely important theoretical value and practical significance. In the process of snowmelt infiltration, the daytime temperature is rising and the snow begins to melt into liquid. With the deepening of infiltration, snowmelt water continues to infiltrate in the soil. When the night temperature is lower than the melting point, snowmelt water turns into solid state, which delays the infiltration of snowmelt water. Thus the study on the process and rules of snowmelt infiltration becomes extremely complicated. In addition, some elements such as terrain, topography, vegetation, altitude, solar radiation, soil and so on make the study on snowmelt infiltration process and rules become more complicated, which is a big characteristic different from other hydrological snowmelt infiltration process in the non-cold areas. This research on snowmelt infiltration rules in cold areas can enrich hydrological researches and affords some research ideas and related information for the future related researches.As the basis of Heilongjiang Province Hydrology Bureau commissioned project The test and analysis on snowmelt infiltration mechanism in spring runoff soil of cold regions, the object of this research is the spring snowmelt infiltration of the Yongcui River basin above the Dailing section in the northeast part of Heilongjiang Yichun.I monitor, test, and analyze the spring snowmelt infiltration in cold regions from the accumulated snow, melting snow, infiltration and other aspects.At the first place, the application of automatic measuring instrument at the test hydrological station can be used to monitor the date and thickness of the snow; secondly, the figure on the thickness and density of snow in different periods can be measured and calculated. The use of dye tracer reagent has intuitive performance on the snowmelt infiltration path; the double loop infiltration test of snowmelt water infiltration rate in different stages is measured. Automation system equipment on humidity can monitor the soil water rate in the freeze thawing period indirectly, so we can inquire into the correlation between the infiltration time and the infiltration depth of snowmelt water, making the divisions of snow infiltration stages. Finally, based on the rainfall, evaporation, runoff data, I make an analysis and calculation of snowmelt infiltration.
