Continuous casting is an advanced casting method, the principle of continuouscasting is that to pouring molten metal in a special metal mold called crystallizer, castingsolidification (crust), continuously drawn out from the other side of the crystallizer, and itcan obtain any long or a specific length of castings. The method of simulation of thehorizontal continuous casting was adopted in this thesis,it has many advantages than theconventional casting.ProCAST software is developed by American USE,it is a casting process simulationsoftware, based on finite element method (FEM), the method of numerical calculation andthe comprehensive solution of filling and solidification of castings and the cooling processof flow field, temperature field, stress field, electromagnetic field simulation analysis.ProCAST can satisfy the sand mold casting, lost foam casting; High pressure, lowpressure casting; Gravity casting, tilt casting, investment casting, shell mold casting,squeeze casting; Thixotropic casting, touch into type, rheological casting and simulationrequirements of continuous casting.With copper alloy casting can improve the production efficiency of copper pieces andthe utilization rate of copper materials, if widely adopted this approach, is bound to help inthe relative lack of copper resources in our country, can reduce the pressure on copperimports.This thesis mainly studies the ProCAST software for casting of copper tubes is usedto change the copper alloy process of horizontal continuous casting simulation to do adetailed introduction, and then reusing software for horizontal continuous castingcrystallizer copper alloy450shuangliu mould casting process simulation calculation. Dueto the influence on the effect of casting parameters are various, for example, the initialcasting temperature, casting, the dimensional parameters of the casting cooling method,copper casting speed of liquid, etc. So after a lot of simulation to change the initial castingtemperature, change the size of the casting and casting speed and so on to analyze the change of copper liquid casting foundry process after these factors change, the change ofstress field and temperature field, in turn, lead to the change of the casting quality. Bychanging casting environmental factors lead to the change of the casting quality summarylaw, respectively, to find out the impact of various factors on the casting process, obtainsthe best casting data respectively. Combination of each influence factor of the best datasummary, finally the summary of the results of a simulation the final mold. Observewhether the result is ideal, if not ideal will repeat the experiment finally get the desiredresults, the optimal casting conditions and methods.
