To dump in the natural stacking process, it is dumping order, bench height, platform width and slope angle that are key factors which impact stability of dumping. In this paper, according to the actual situation of LongQiao Dump, we obtain mechanical strength parameters of bulked granular material by experiments, and analyze the effect of the bench height to the stability of dump, using numerical simulation. By means of the numerical simulation, according to the engineering geological conditions, we carry on the analysis and the stability evaluation on the slope deformation, stress and plastic zone. At the same time, We compare and optimize the differences among the15m,25m and30m bench height under the conditions that15degrees slope angle,25degrees bench slope angle. At last, from the slope stability, confirm the optimal parameters, ensure that the overall stability of the dump, and maximize the discharge capacity. At the same time, the author analyzes the distribution of the potential failure surface under the natural state and the saturated state. That provides the basic theory for that whether enhanced dump drainage facilities or strengthen measures to drainage.
