With the constant improvement of traffic facilities and the increasement of vehicles’s use, it is convenient for people’s life and travel. At the same time, oil consumption rises year by year, and a large anmount of it is used by tires to support car running on. How to reduce tire rolling resistance is not only the hot issue of car energy saving, but has important economic and social significance by reducing energy consumption and improving environment.Based on summarisig tire rolling resistance mechanism and test methods, this paper applies tire rolling resistance tester, chooses different specifications of tires, conducts experiments of changing tire load, inflation pressure and running speed, carries out the following work:(1) According to the calibration specification of tire rolling resistance testing machine (dynamometry), STL rolling resistance testing machiine is calibrated.(2) Change tire load and measure tire rolling resistance value respectively;(3) Change tire inflation pressure on the condition of remaining load and speed unchanged, measure tire rolling resistance value respectively;(4) Change tire running speed at the condition of remaining tire inflation pressure and load unchanged, measure tire rolling resistance value respectively.Apply the above method to the tires of 235/55R18 104Y、205/45ZR17 88W、 205/55R16 91V、195/65R16 91V、95/65R16 91H、185/65R14 86H. Experiments of load, inflation pressure and speed by using multiple sites has carried on.Then process and analyse the test data and get the following conclusions:(1) Rolling resistance will increase with the growth of tire load and with the same percentage, but rolling resistance coefficient basically remain unchanged;(2) Rolling resistance will decrease with the growth of inflation pressure which has significant effects then tire inflation pressure is low;(3) Rolling resistance will change as the "V" glyph with the increasement of tire speed. Tire best running speed is also different with different levels of speed, and the best speed increases with tire speed level increasing.Above all, this paper measures and analyzes the influence of tire load, inflation pressure and speed on rolling resistance, and based on the accurate data, analyse how to choose the three parameters of tire load, inflation pressure and speed to improve the fuel economy. It also provides data support to the research of tire rolling resistance and reliable basis is provided for the correct use of tire for the consumer.
