With the rapid development of modern industry, the economy is promoted to a new height, while the environmental problem has posed a great threat to human bings. Therefore, functional "Environmental Materials" is adopted more and more attentions. Natural Nano-mineral materials such as diatomite and attapulgite are turned out to be the popular raw materials due to its’ unique pore structure and abundant reserve. Zisha clay and attapulgite clay are chosen as ceramic binder because of its’ wide calcinations temperature and excellent plasticity. Bamboo charcoal and diatomaceous earth are chosen as the matrix material owing to the developed pore structure. Then, the composite is sintered at a certain temperature and atmosphere. SEM, XRD, TG/DTA and BET are used as characterization methods.Hydrothermal calcination modification diatomite is one of the most effectively purified methods. Four factors, such as the HC1 concentration, the sintering temperature, the hydrothermal time and the hydrothermal temperature have great impact on diatomite purification. Clearly enriched pore structure can be observed on purified samples. It can be concluded that the specific surface area of SBET is 14.168m2/g and the pore volume of VBET is 2.24×10-2cm3/g from BET and BJH. It has shown that the content of SiO2 increased from 80.39% to 98% in purification samples. The flexural strength of 2.08Mpa, apparent porosity reached to 27.38% at optimal experimental conditions. The XRD patterns show that Crystallization quartz was discovered at 700℃ initially. Cordierite (major phase) and Phosphorus quartz were discovered at 850℃. Cordierite (major phase) and tridymite are discovered at 1200℃. Specific surface area of 110.162 m2/g and the pore size distribution of 2-30nm were observed from BET and BJH. Different Absorbent dosage contents such as pH values, temperatures, initial MB concentration and time have investigated in MB adsorption experiment. The result showed that all the factors have significant effect on MB adsorption onto ADMM. MB adsorption isotherms fitted better with the Langmuir model than the Freundlich model. Besides, the MB adsorption kinetics follows the pseudo-second order rate equation better than pseudo-first order rate equation. The samples have optimal mechanical properties and adsorption properties when the calcination during 1040℃ and ratio of bamboo charcoal with Zisha clay is 3:7. Microcrystalline bamboo charcoal is covered well with Zisha ceramics from SEM. The pore size distribution and average pore size along with Specific surface area are derived from the BET analyses.
