The "three high" phenomenon exist in printing and dyeing industry,high-energy, high water consumption, high pollution. The dyeing process is an important part in the process of printing and dyeing process. This paper studies the dyeing process of heating method and control mode to seek the minimum energy consumption method, which conforms to the requirements of the process of optimal heating mode, and achieving the purpose of saving energy consumption. Firstly,consult the literature, understand of the current situation and the trend of development of the domestic printing and dyeing industry, analysis the current situation and existing problems combined with foreign printing and dyeing industry;secondly, define the research object and specific goals, and formulate specific research program; finally, analysis the simulation results and get the relevant conclusions.(1)Select a specific studying object--closed VAT; a clear researching process--dyeing engineering; select a heating type--steam heating mode. Regard the knowledge of steam, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics as the theoretical foundation,established the energy conservation model and control model, lay a foundation for the further study.(2)The heat exchanger is a core part of the heating process, energy alternation occurs in it, the heating effect is related to the controling effect, therefore designing a suitable exchanger is critical. At first, select the type of heat exchanger--shell and tube heat exchanger. Then, select proper tube bundle diameter according to the design index, arrangement and the shell side fluid configuration; calculate heat transfer, average temperature and the heat exchange area, determine the tube length and quantity; calculate the pressure drop in the tube, verify whether the voltage drop is in a reasonable range. Finally, draw a shape of the heat exchanger and import it into FLUENT software and simulate it, verify whether the design of the heat exchanger can achieve the requirement.(3)Develop the corresponding control strategy according to different the heating process. The heating process requires that rising the temperature to the specified temperature in a certain time, is not strict with the stability of temperature, while the coloring process is mainly carried out in a constant temperature process, and is strict with the stability, so the optimal way of controlling is mainly found in the heating process. For the constant temperature period using continuous heating mode and the fuzzy PID control to maintain the temperature, for the heating process using sectional heating mode, use the MATLAB software to calculate the different sectional heating way according to the energy conservation. Compare the steam consumption between the heating ways, and get the best way of controlling.(4)Simulate the VAT heating system with Kingview software, build simulation interface according to the actual. Use DDE communication to achieve the data communication between MATLAB and Kingview. The optimum result can be displayed directly in the real-time curve. At the same time, the historical data can be recorded by the report for future data access and comparison.
