In modern manufacturing industry, the mould is an important process equipment use for mass production, and the electrode is an indispensable tool in the process of mould manufacturing. With the continuous expansion of enterprise’s production scale, the type and quantity of electrodes have been increased sharply, which contribute to the traditional manual electrode identification and management methods have been difficult to satisfy the needs of enterprise’s daily production. Therefore, in order to solve the electrode management problem in the mould workshop of Dongguan JANUS Precision Components Ltd, an electrode management method based on IoT and RFID technology was proposed and an electrode management system has been designed and realized in this thesis, including functions of materials preparation, electrode management,warehouse management, production status monitoring and so on.A high frequency of anti-metal RFID tags was used to mark the mould electrode in this thesis to track electrode’s entire lifecycle including process of preparation,processing, quality control, measurement, use, and recycling. Firstly, the performance of this kind of anti-metal RFID tag was analyzed and established its application model and methods. Secondly, the system’s core hardware requirements, basic functional requirements and business functional requirements were analyzed in detail. Finally, the system process datas were analyzed and business processes were standardized.The software framework of system was designed detailedly, and system client and web management software were developed in this thesis. Firstly, the overall structure of system was designed including network architecture, software architecture, and development model. Secondly, the functional modules of system were designed,including functional modules division, business process design, documents and datas management. In addition, the structure of system’s database was designed with PowerDesigner software, and a complete physical data model has been established,farther, the each data table structure and relationships between tables were defined in detail. Finally, the system client and web management software were developed using ASP.NET technology, C sharp language, and B/S&C/S mixed development model on the integrated development platform of Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and.NET framework.The system’s interface and business function were realized.In a word, the mould electrode management system based on RFID was designed and developed in this thesis. It can manage mould electrode intelligently, reduce the amount of manpower, improve mould production efficiency and cut down management costs. This research is important to promote enterprise restructuring and industrial upgrading.
