A Study On The Innovation Of Bamboo Furniture Design

The history of bamboo furniture in our country already has hundreds of years, by the Yellow River and the Yangtze River region, bamboo occupy every part of humans’ lives, various articles made from bamboo, such as furniture, tableware, agricultural supplies, fishing.etc. It facilitated men’s lives very well. So bamboo slowly to be a section of their lives, and then evolved to bamboo culture. The bamboo culture is one of the representatives of Chinese, its rich culture and aesthetic value for our study provides a valuable asset. So the Chinese bamboo culture is one of the topic in this study. It closely linked to the bamboo furniture. By describing the relationship of them, we can see the culture always impact the bamboo furniture’s form and design etc. And in turn the bamboo furniture has become the important part of the culture. With this prerequisite, bamboo furniture for innovative design has its important significance, but it must be base on the bamboo culture.But with the high-tech invasion and the progress of social civilization, the traditional bamboo culture has slowly being swallowed. It suffered a great impact, especially in the furniture industry. Because people still think the bamboo furniture is rough and easy moth, even to the modern one. Even though the modern bamboo furniture has been a great improvement in this regard, it is not known to the people. How to change their perception of bamboo furniture, and how to adapt to the development of today, it will the dominant ideology to this study. By analyzing the features of bamboo furniture, and its decorative techniques, it will provide an important reference and theoretical basis for the creative design.Every design has its principles, of course to bamboo furniture. Because the principle is an important criterion to guide the rational design of furniture and all of it should be followed. In this study, it will start from a few major principles and methods and base on the furniture innovative design, make it adapt to the needs of market’s development and the public’s aesthetic. Above all, with the theoretical analysis in the study, the bamboo furniture design will be built by modeling. Finally, I hope the creative designs will not only highlight the modern aesthetic elements but also show the characteristics of Chinese culture. SO it can establish the brand image of local design.
