This article mainly aims at solving delaminating problems of high heat resistant conveyor belt appeared in the process of aging, adopting new type rubber technology make the skeleton material and ethylene-propylene-diene monomer achieve good adhesion property. Finally we develop a heat resistant conveyor belt which is all consisted of ethylene-propylene-diene monomer.1, Firstly the article discusses the process of dipping and adjusts the resorcinol(R)-formaldehyde(F)-rubber latex(L)system, studying the time, heat treatment temperature, mole ratio of R/F, mole ratio of RF/L and other factors. The results conform to the use requirement of conveyor belt in normal transportation.Using acrylate latex and butyl vinylpyridine copolymer latex blended together to improve the heat retention of conveyor belt.The article develops a new type of dip solution which is replacing the original butadiene-vinylpyridine copolymer latex by other kinds of latex, for example, the natural, butyl benzene, nitrile, butadiene, hydrogenated nitrile and chlorosulfonation polyethylene latex. Through studying the adhesion influence on the EPDM, we find that the use of chlorosulfonation polyethylene latex impregnating polyester canvas is the best preparation way. The bonding strength between sulfur vulcanization of EPDM and dipped polyester can reach 11.0KN/m at room temperature, but the adhesion strength drop to 7.0 KN/m after aging, heat retention is lower.Developing a new impregnation method to investigate the adhesion properties of isocyanate substrate and maleic acid polybutadiene substrate combined with different rubber matrix formula of EPDM, when using the peroxide and adhesive M as EPDM crosslinking system, maleic acid polybutadiene 100 g and adhesive M4g as dip solution formulation, the adhesion strength of EPDM and nylon canvas can reaches 9.8KN/m at room temperature, the adhesion strength drops to 6.3 KN/M after aging 24h at 473.15K, conveyor belt preparation of this method has good heat resistance.2, The new preparation of EPDM is using DCP as initiator, maleic anhydride adhesive as crosslinking system, when the DCP reaches 0.75g, adhesive M reaches 3g,the adhesion strength of the untreated polyester canvas and EPDM reaches more than 8 KN/M, the adhesive strength can still keep in more than 5KN/m after aging 48h at 473.15KN/m, high temperature adhesion strength can reach more than 2.2 KN/M, the conveyor belt prepared by this way has reached the level of T4 interlayer adhesion strength requirement of high temperature resistant conveyor belt. This method of preparation of high temperature resistant conveyor belt avoiding the risk of introducing EPDM transition layer and the formula has no damage in the polyester canvas. This method provides very good protection of frame materials, the preparation of the adhesive EPDM has great prospects for development.
