Mercury has been widely used in electrochemical industry, mining, amalgam of industry and equipment manufacturing and other industries, at the same time, it has been applied in the medical materials manufacturing, some of the cosmetics research and production, in the process of its application may cause the accumulation of mercury contamination. The test method Commonly used are sensitive, but the common equipment is expensive, complex preprocessing, and the samples need to be operated, the process is relatively complex and it has some other problems. Some new detection methods have been developed, and a series of one step analysis method such as dry reagent test original received widespread attention. The test article has many advantages, such as low price, easy operation, short time needed for detection and so on.The purpose of this paper is to explore a kind of easy to operate method for detecting mercury ions in the water environment, the test strip. This paper mainly includes three aspects:(1) Preparation and research of add type for mercury ion test strip, (2) Preparation and research of contact type for mercury ion test strip, (3) Preparation and research for low concentration of mercury ion test strip. In this paper, we have studied the production of all kinds of test strip method, optimized various influence factors of implementation of mercury ion, and succeeded in the real-time detection of mercury in the water environment field.Chromogenic reagent can be loaded onto the paper-based materials by the way of physical load, and when the paper-based test strip contacts with the mercury ion in the solution, some production with color can appear. The paper-based materials with reagent dithizone prone structural changes in long-term storage of air, resulting in failure of the test strip function. Reduce the load and the use of chromogenic agent can effectively inhibit sealed reagent failure to extend the storage time of the test strip. The chromogenic agent Loaded on paper-based materials dithizone and mercury ions react quickly, using test strips were measured as mercury immersion ion content, is easy to cause the mercury ion enrichment in the test strip, so that it may cause test high results. Test methods dropping style can effectively ensure the accuracy of the test results. When using the test strip with color reagent load concentration of 0.0127 g/L-determination of mercury ion content by dropping style, more appropriate test conditions is:dropping amount of 3.7 ul, reaction time of 5 seconds. Color intensity mercury ion content of the test strip has a linear y = 0.05434x+0.2815, correlation of R2= 0.9971, the detectable range of 0.1-30 ug/mL.CMC is used as the immersion test strip additives, may slow down the reaction rate and the color developing agent and mercury ions to some extent, but it reduces the final color intensity at the same time. PVC is used as an additive in immersion test strip, which can effectively reduce the reaction rate of mercury ions and the chromogenic agent, to a certain extent, the PVC inhibited the enrichment of mercury ions to the test strip by using plasticizers, which can effectively improve the final color intensity. The test strip can be prepared by first loading color-developing agent and after that loading of PVC and plasticizers, it can be used to measure the mercury content by immersion. Color-developing agent load concentration was 0.0127 g/L, and the PVC load concentration was 0.5 g/L, the concentration of liquid plasticizer load 1 g/L, when the immersion time are 2min, the resulting test strip immersed in the solution can be used directly to measure the mercury ion. More appropriate test conditions:test strip immersion time tested solution for 60s, reaction time of 60s, the color intensity of the test strip and mercury ion content in a linear y= 0.05736x+0.2798, correlation of R2= 0.9994, detectable range of 0.2-30 ug/mL.There was a paper-based test strip loaded reagent dithizone (chromogenic reagent load concentration of 0.0127 g/L), the test solution by slow filtration test strip method can achieve an effective enrichment mercury ions and for color development purposes. More appropriate filtration rate using this method of enrichment of low concentrations of mercury ions (eg mercury content of less than 0.1 ug/mL) and the filtration rate was 0.25 mL/min, filtration volume of 5 mL, reaction time of 5 s. A linear relationship y= 0.05433x+0.3467, correlation of 0.9982, when using this method the determination of low concentrations of mercury ion content, the detectable range of 0.03-1.2 ug/mLWhen this study was dropping style, immersion and enrichment color paper-based test methods for measuring simulated wastewater containing mercury, other ions Mn2+, Cu2+, Mg2 +ions exist for the analysis of the final content of a certain influence, but these ions can be removed by pretreatment.Compared with traditional mercury ion content analysis and test methods, paper-based test strip mercury ion detection and analysis method is simple, reliable and accurate. And the test strip for the mercury ions has a high selectivity. The quantitative detection method can be used on field scene samples or test semi-quantitative analysis.
