| As the refiner plates of paper machine works at the condition where temperature is above 200℃, PH value of alkaline slurry is arranging from 9 to 10, the rotational speed is about 1500r/min. Therefore, it is required to have high hardness, high wear resistance under the premise of ensuring high corrosion resistance, and to avoid broken tooth, it should have good toughness.In this paper, taking into account the actual working conditions and performance requirements of the refiner plates, by observing microstructure, hardness testing, impact testing and fracture morphology analysis to study the trend of microstructure and properties of the 1Cr17Ni4 stainless steel in different quenching temperature, cooling method, tempering temperature. To arrive at the heat treatment process parameters which meet the actual working condition. The experimental results shows that:the quenching temperature should choose 1000-1020±10℃; when 280~300℃ tempering 2~3h, rockwell hardness can reach HRC 41~45, tempered microstructure is:tempered martensite+partial chromium carbides; when tempering temperature up to 290℃, the impact energy can reach to 56J, impact specimens fracture morphology contains a large number of dimples and some cleavage plane; the optimum heat treatment parameters of 1Cr17Ni4 stainless steel refiner plates is:(1010±10℃) water quenching +290℃×(2~3h) tempering+air cooling.This process has been successfully applied in the production of refiner plates made in Xin Ji Chunhui Paper Machinery Co., Ltd of Gaobeidian. The average service life of the refiner plates is more than two months, and no tooth root fracture occurred. |
