The Fuyun Jinshan Mining Co. of Mengku iron deposit in the east mine ore pit stability evaluation, mainly based on field investigation and data collection, on the basis of "Fuyun Jinshan Mining Co. of Mengku iron deposit in the east mine ore pit closure report", the Fuyun Jinshan mining and Metallurgy Co. Mengku iron deposit east mine open pit iron ore situation analysis, by means of finite element software ANSYS, MIDAS and so on Fuyun Jinshan Mining Co. of Mengku iron deposit in the east mine iron ore tailings pit to evaluate the status quo, the status of open stope stability conclusion, to determine the maximum height of open-pit dump and provide a theoretical basis for the, in order to avoid the pit beneath the rock collapse accident of underground roadway and mining engineering security threats.This study analyzes the geological survey of open pit mining field, determine the stability calculation method, select the physical and mechanical parameters of each rock stratum, establish a two-dimensional model, and analyze the stability of different kinds of soil depth in the field:(1) the height of the dump is reached to the height of 96m(the highest point of the open pit slope is 1008m), and the stress level of the rock mass is still in the safe range(ANSYS analysis safety factor is 3.80, MIDAS analysis safety factor is 3.47).(2) the results show that the rock mass is still in a stable state, even though the height of the dump is the highest, and the stability of the slope is not stable. When the height of the row is not reached, the slope of the open pit is still possible, and the effective measures should be taken to prevent people from entering the area.(3) effective measures shall be taken to prevent the accidents of the 850 m level, such as the displacement, water table, video and so on.(4) of the open mining field catchment area is not large, but summer rainstorm still exist stope bottom water possibility. Therefore, we should take effective cut-off measures to prevent internal water lead to soften rocks and endanger the lower part of the mining safety.
