Research On The Ecological Footprint Status And Countermeasures Of Huaibei City

Huaibei City has abundant coal resources. It is an important pole in the "LiangHuai" coal base. Coal industry is promoting rapid economic and social development in the region. At the same time, it also has a greater pressure on the ecological environment. The paper is based on the study of the theory of "ecological footprint". The ecological environment of Huaibei city on the economic and social bearing capacity is used as the research object, mainly studies the ecological aspects of the ecological footprint of the region, regional carrying capacity and ecological deficit/surplus area etc.The research method is:to build and use the equivalent factor dynamic change of different types of ecological footprint model, through the analysis of the domestic and foreign literature data, to analyze different types of indicators, carrying out time sequence function simulation method, quantitative analysis and qualitative evaluation on the sustainable development of Huaibei city, on the analysis of the evaluation on the basis put forward effective countermeasures.Through research, main conclusions: ①in 2013, the per capita ecological deficit of Huaibei city is 4.40795Ha. It shows that the local ecological environment is difficult to support people’s daily consumption demand, ゝrom 2007 to 2013, the per capita ecological footprint of Huaibei city is deficit, and the deficit value shows an increasing trend; ③trend analysis shows that:if the Huaibei city does not take effective measures. In 2030, the Huaibei city will be faced with tremendous pressure on the ecological environment. There will be having serious constraints and impact on the healthy and sustainable development of the economy and society.The research shows that:in 2013, the Huaibei city’s ecological footprint per capita will greatly exceed the local per capita indicators of the ecological carrying capacity. Ecological footprint per capita area is in deficit, ecological environment is under greater pressure, the economic and social development is facing unsustainable risk. In view of the serious ecological problems, Huaibei city must take measures for effective governance:changing the mode of economic development actively, changing the way of energy using, protecting the natural environment, improving the production efficiency of arable land and other kinds of natural resources, to reduce population growth and economic development on the environment caused by the pressure.
