The copper, palladium, nickel and zinc transition metal complexes are often used as the catalysts to catalyze the Heck reaction, polymerization reaction, hydroboration and etc. Based on the full literature, the recent advancement of the transition metal complexes and their catalytic application to the Henry reaction and cyanosilylation are systematically summarized. In one simple step method, using anhydrous methanol as the solvents, from the reaction of 2-hydroxy pyridine with Cu(OAc)2·H2O and CUCl2·2H2O,3-hydroxy pyridine with Cu(OAc)2·H2O, L-(-)-valine with CuCl2·2H2O, L-(-)-phenylglycine with PdCl2, D-(+)-lecuinol with NiCl2·6H2O and ZnCl2, D-(+)-valinol with ZnCl2, and tetracyanoethylene with Zn(OAc)2·2H2O resulted in the production of the corresponding complexes â… ï½žâ…¨, accordingly. They were all characterized by elemental analysis, IR, NMR and X-ray diffraction analysis. The complexes â… ï½žâ…¨ were then used as the catalysts to the Henry reaction of benzaldehyde and other aldehydes. The effects of the solvent and the reaction time were discussed to determine the optimal reaction condition, and the complex VI achieved the best catalytic result, the conversion efficiency was greater than 99%. Then the complexes Ⅳ~Ⅸ were used to catalyze the Henry reaction of ethyl pyruvate in the same reaction conditions, and complex IV obtained good catalytic result, the conversion efficiency was 90%. In addition, the complexes â… ï½žâ…¨ were also used to catalyze the cyanosilylation of benzaldehyde and achieved good catalytic results. Among them, the complex â…¦ obtained the best catalytic effect, the conversion rate was 94%. |
