"Made in China 2025", made an unprecedented voice to the industry’s intelligent manufacturing and automation. Arc welding seam-tracking technology is participants for its high price and excellent tracking performance, but dynamic tracking effect is still to be improved. It has great significance to realize automatic detection and automatic tracking that study of arc shape, welding temperature field and weld pool shape in welding process. Aiming at the problems existing in the structure and the arc sensor of seam-tracking, this paper started from the optimization design of magnetic control arc sensor, and made a further research to the magnetron arc and weld pool shape, which can provide a better foundation for realizing automatic welding.The specific contents are as follows:1、This paper designed a new type of composite magnetron arc sensor, which described its design concept and program.In order to achieve the goal that system can control the welding arc better, the excitation power circuit was designed and manufactured. Aiming at the characteristics of the arc sensor under the condition of compound magnetic field, the arc location mode and the effective acquisition mode of the system were established.2、The arc and droplet under the composite magnetic control sensor were observed by active vision method, and the dynamic analysis of the internal mechanism of the arc movement under the compound magnetic field was carried out.The shape of the arc body under the composite magnetic field was compared with the arc under no magnetic field, and the advantages of the new design of the sensor were verified. The intrinsic reason that the complex magnetic field can control the arc stably was clarified by the essence of kinematics. It has been proved that the composite magnetic control arc sensor is feasible for realizing seam-tracking by the unidirectional sloping plate experiments.3、This paper established the composite heat source model under swing of the magnetic control, and numerical simulation was carried out by ANSYS,the welding temperature field and molten pool shape under the sensor of complex magnetic control was obtained.The simulation results show that the whole shape of molten pool is ellipse with large head and a small tail, the head of the pool will swing with the swing of the arc. The temperature field under the condition of the composite magnetic field was compared with the condition of no external magnetic field. It is proved that the compound magnetic field can reduce the welding stress and improve the welding quality. At the same time, the analysis of the shape of the welding pool provides a reference for eliminating the interference of welding pool in the process of automatic seam-tracking welding.4、Kalman filtering method was introduced in the optimization of the deviation signal in arc welding. This paper did some seam-tracking tests for V groove, small curvature, and broken line pieces on the seam-tracking welding system platform which installed the arc senor with composite magnetic control, the results are as follows: Kalman filtering method can remove random effectively and high frequency noise around sampling area, can improve the recognition ability of deviation.
