In recent years, beer has become an important part of people’s lives. As the market competition is continually growing and consumer groups are increasingly mature, people have a high requirement of beer’s taste and quality. But today in China, the industrial automation of beer production is a little low which makes the waste of resource and the low efficiency of working. At the same time, the quality of product can not be guaranteed which is prone to have different tastes. Therefore, it is urgent to use advanced automatic technology to control the process of beer brewing which can solve the problem of unstable quality and increase the quantity of the beer production.Beer production equipment must have the characteristics of high temperature resistance and high pressure resistance.In this thesis, according to the requirments of beer brewing, the strctures of beer brewing equipment are created, then every parts of design are analysed. By using Pro-E, this thesis creates a designing model to make sure the design is correct.The hardware and software of the temperature and process controller were designed and simulated which contains the control system hardware design, software design, control algorithm and computer monitoring.The realization of controller’s hardware needs to make clear how many the variables in beer processing are and choose the controller, then this thesis gradually completes the hardware design of the system, including electrical schematic diagram, power supply module, the number of the system input and output points and address allocation and cord connection,and also completed hardware in STEP-7.The realization of controller’s software needs to finish control algorithm in Matlab to check the advantage of this controller. Used LAD code modular and structured programming methods to finish various functions in beer-brewing control system,and then did simulation in PLC-SIM.Finished things above means the realization of controller for beer production.Completed the monitoring function in the WinCC software, which included pictures of temperature and pressure changes, archive print and so on. Combined with S7-300 controller, the automatic monitoring system was accomplished.In the end,Beer production small system of temperature control is created which includes hardware and software configurations, controlling programming and communication realization. Software system is designed to control the S7-300 hardware. WinCC and PLC are easily connected, but algorithm in PLC is difficult to achieve. So this design makes the algorithm in Matlab to deal with the error and the error rate in processing whose result returns to the subsequent control in PLC. The control result is displayed on the monitoring screen of control process in the WinCC. Fuzzy PID control algorithm makes the simulation curve and the theoretical curve fit well.
