Study Of The Situation And Influence Factor Of Carbon Emissionin In Shandong Province

In recent years, along with the global climate warming trend is increasingly obvious day after day, the frequency of extreme weather conditions has caused all over the world, greenhouse gas emissions has caused wide public concern over the problem. China is not only the largest developing country in the world, also is the largest carbon emissions country in term of quantity and incremental, emission situation is very grim.Since the reform and opening up, the economic development of Shandong province has made great achievement, people’s living standards continue to improve, but at the same time, along with the rapid economic growth, high investment, high emissions growth model also caused serious destruction to the ecological environment. Under the background of national advocate the development of low-carbon economy, how to ensure economic growth speed and complete task of emission reduction of the carbon dioxide, has become an unaviodable problem on the road to development of Shandong province. To solve this problem, further study of carbon emissions and its influencing factors are needed, so as to find an effective way to energy conservation and emissions reduction.The paper firstly on the basis of relevant theories of low-carbon economy, analyzes the present situation and trend of carbon emissions in Shandong province. Secondly, we use the data of 1990-2010 to estimate the carbon dioxide emissions in Shandong province, choose five variables as influencing factors, including GDP, energy intensity, industrial structure, urbanization level and energy prices, build the VAR model between Carbon dioxide emissions in Shandong province and its influencing factors, and use impulse response function and variance decomposition to explore the size of the influence coefficient and time variation law. The Research shows that:response of Shandong carbon emissions to economic growth and energy intensity is sensitive, to industrial structure, urbanization level and energy price is stable, Biggest contribution to carbon emissions is energy intensity, which is the main influence factors of carbon emissions in Shandong province, followed by GDP and energy prices, industrial structure and urbanization level of contribution is relatively small, In Study period, influence coefficient of the variables show obvious differences between in the short term and long term. Finally, on the basis of empirical analysis, combining the characteristics of resource environment and economic development in Shandong province, we put forward some policy Suggestions.
