Silk as the traditional culture industry in our country, which has a history of thousands of years. Silk has been favored for consumers because of its unique luster, soft and smooth handle, good drapability, excellent wet absorption and the health care function. With the advancement of science and technology and improvement of people’s living condition, people demand for silk products tend to be diversification of unique, personality, advanced and novel. And more, the disadvantages of traditional silk fabrics such as easily shrivel, change to yellow and weak resistibility, thus affecting its applications. Therefore, it’s very important to introduce new material and technology in silk industry, especially the design and development of the new type fibers and silk fabrics.Chitosan fiber is a kind of anti-bacterial functional fibers and the highly processed products of chitosan, which use the good spinning performance of chitosan liquid by wet spinning. In this paper, chitosan/spun silk blended yarns were fabricated by silk spinning technology with three blending ratio of 10:90 and 20:80 and 30:70. Then the chitosan/spun silk blended yarns and pure spun silk were used as warp and weft yarns, and 16 plain weave fabrics, 5 twill fabrics, 1 satin fabric were designed and woven, which had different chitosan fiber mass percent. Tested and analyzed the effect of chitosan fiber content, fabric tissue and weft density on air permeability,moisture permeability, pilling resistance, wrinkle recovery performance, antistatic property,style and antibacterial property of chitosan/ spun silk blended fabrics. The results were as follows through the research.Compared with the spun silk fabric, the blended fabrics have better air permeability, moisture permeability, pilling resistance. The fabrics have better wrinkle recovery performance which use the chitosan/spun silk blended yarns as warp yarn. The blended fabrics and spun silk fabric are all have better antistatic property. But compared with the spun silk fabric, the blended fabrics have worse drape performance. the chitosan/spun silk blended fabrics hanve better stiffness, flatness, smoothness and scroopy than spun silk fabric, but worse softness The blended fabrics and spun silk fabric have litter difference of fullness.With the increase of weft density, air permeability, moisture permeability, pilling resistance, wrinkle recovery performance, drape performance, softness, smoothness and scroop decrease all, stiffness and flatness both increase, the change of antistatic property and fullness is not obvious.Air permeability, moisture permeability, wrinkle recovery and softness performance change from small to large in the order of plain, twill, satin; the change rule of stiffness and flatness are opposite; the antistatic performance of three kinds weaves fabrics are all grade A; the pilling resistance of plain fabric is better than twill fabric and satin fabric; the change rule of drape performance is plain worse than twill, and satin is best; sroop of fabrics change from large to small in the order of plain, satin, twill; the three weave fabrics have litter difference of fullness and soomthness.The chitosan/spun silk blended fabricshave an adverse effect on staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coil when the chitosan fiber content reaches a certain level, with the increase of the content of chitosan fiber, antibacterial rate is gradually increasing, the antibacterial effect is much more obviously. When the content of chitosan fiber is between 20% and 30%, the effect on staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coil tends to be gently, and the antibacterial rates could exceed 80% and 90% respectively.
