With the development of society, noise pollution is intensifying step by step, bringing serious impact to people’s normal life. Sound insulation materials can prevent sound transmission, cut off the route of sound transmission, so as to achieve the requirement of noise reduction. In recent years, textile structural composites increasingly apply to noise reduction materials. The study of their sound insulation performance is also increasing. Such studies, however, mostly focus on the non-woven composites, knitted fabric composites, braided fabric composites, sew-knit fabric composites, and two-dimensional woven composites. The research of sound insulation performance for 3-D woven composites is little. But, 3-D woven composites have a very extensive application prospect for their unique mechanical properties in thickness direction. Therefore, it is necessary to discuss the sound insulation performance of 3-D woven composites. The design of 3-D woven preformed parts is the basis of the manufacture of 3-D woven composites. Angle interlock fabric as the most commonly used three-dimensional fabric is designed flexibly and fickly. By reading a large number of literatures, this topic has summarized common angle interlock fabric structures, adding several kinds of design methods of angle interlock fabric structures. In order to explore the fabric structure on the influence of the sound insulation performance of 3-D woven composites, three sets of angle interlock fabric structures were designed: five layer heterotropic angle interlock fabric structure, four layer perforative angle interlock fabric structures, and four layer perforative angle interlock fabric structures with jets. By changing junction layers of warps of five layer heterotropic angle interlock fabric structure, 4 different kinds of fabric structures were designed. And their sound insulation performances were discussed. 5 different kinds of fabric structures were designed by changing the cycle number ofwarps. Then we can to analyze its influence on the sound insulation performance. Two groups angle interlock fabric with the structure of jets were designed respectively, by changing the jet diameter size and the size of the distance between the adjacent jets. So, we can compare the sound insulation performance between them. All fabrics were woven on the SGA598 type semi-automatic loom for weaving small samples and composited using vacuum assisted liquid moulding process. At last, we tested the sound insulation performance of all the composites that we made using the VA-Lab noise test system. By analyzing the experiment data, we know these conclusions. With the increasing of the junction layers of warps, five layer heterotropic angle interlock fabric composites’ thickness, surface density, fiber volume fraction and sound insulation performance are increasing. With the increasing of the cycle number of warps, four layer perforative angle interlock fabric composites’ thickness, surface density, fiber volume fraction and sound insulation performance are increasing. With the increasing of the jet diameter size and the size of the distance between the adjacent jets, the sound insulation performance of interlock fabric composites with jets is increasing obviously.
