Combined with seismic, drilling, logging, testing and development data, fine reservoir description was performed in Xikai oilfield which is located in the south of East Depression in Liaohe Basin, and re-development deployment was made based on the analyses of reservoir distribution and remaining oil evaluation. 11 oil-bearing members were divided into the formation of Es1 and Es3, and 3-D fine structural interpretation was made to assure the accuracy of fault identification with the application of comprehensive technology such as horizontal slice and coherent slice. The nearshore alluvial fans were developed mainly in the middle and lower member of Es3, and small fan delta plain were formed on the background of swamping plain in the upper member of Es3, which indicate the reservoir distribution was controlled by sedimentary facies. The hydrocarbon was migrated to the upper formation in the west from source rocks through Erjiegou fault, and many types of reservoir including fault nose, fault block and structure-lithology were identified. Oil bearing zones were developed mainly in the middle and lower members of Es3, but few in Es1 and the upper members of Es3. The 173.67×104t geological reserve was found with the reserve re-calculation in 7 fault blocks and 19 units, and 11 re-development wells were proposed based on the research of structural evolution, geology analysis, reservoir prediction and development effectiveness in Xinkai oil field.
