The automatic assembly line of 20 P series of electric valve is designed according to its actual production situations. At the same time, the structure, work principle of feeding device and its applications in the automatic assembly line are discussed in this paper. The displacement and automatic transmission mechanism are also described in detail. The accurate rotary positioning of the valve motor is realized with the modern control technology of stepping motor. The contents are as follows:1. The overall scheme of mechanical and control system of the automatic assembly production line are designed with the modular design method.2. Based on the actual working situation of each part, the corresponding feeding and conveying device are designed. By the theory of kinematics and dynamics, the force of parts in the transmission process and vibration feeding device are analyzed in theory, from which some parameters that may impact on the feeding velocity was drawn.3. Combined with the connection method of the motor components and on the basis of selecting the appropriate cylinders as driving equipment, the force of the assembly process is theoretically calculated.4. The globoidal indexing cam mechanism applied in this production line is analyzed and calculated in detail by using the principle and structure characteristics of automatic delivery mechanism.5. A mechanical rotary positioning device is designed. With the application of stepping motor, the rotary positioning of the valve motor is realized.6. The Mitsubishi PLC is selected as the controller of the system; a connection mode of the master-slave signal by wire is established. The programming is finished in accordance with process diagram and program flowchart. The reasonable control of cylinder, motor and other actuators is realized, and the human-machine interface is developed.The assembly production line designed in this paper achieve automation of feeding, conveying, loading, assembling of electric valve parts. At present, it has been put into application in the enterprise.
