High content of suspended solids in waste water for Zoujiashan uranium mine, leads to the conventional treatment of ion adsorption tower processing capacity is reduced, backwash water containing high concentrations of uranium and suspended solids. In this paper according the drainage water monitoring data of Zoujiashan uranium mine waste water treatment station, on the basis of investigation and analysis, combined with the Nuclear Group “Dragon 2020” demonstrative project of science and technology innovation plan and scientific research project of mine water treatment optimization(Item number: 5.5 K-131-1.2.2-*) on uranium waste water optimization research. Analysis the wastewater in Zoujiashan show that uranium achieved emission standards and uranium removal reached 93.7% after treatment. Through the study of Zoujiashan mine water treatment facilities to find out the problems in it and then propose the optimization idea. A series of coagulation experiment show that the removal efficiency of turbidity was 98.2% with mine water when the dosage of PAC and cationic PAM were 20 mg/L, 2mg/L, respectively. And with backwash water which were more than 99.6% when the dosage of PAC and cationic PAM were 20 mg/L, 1mg/L, respectively.Find out the restriction factors in uranium mine wastewater treatment facilities through the parameters of turbidity removal, eventually developing economic, reasonable and efficient mine water treatment technology.
