The jacquard technology is the key to the production of the velvet carpet. It is important to study the jacquard control technology of carpet jacquard machine to break the monopoly of foreign technology. Stepper motor is a kind of motor which can realize accurate positioning. It has the characteristics of low cost, simple structure and precise control. It has been widely used in various fields of modern society. Use stepper motor as the actuator of jacquard control system, It is necessary to study stepper motor’s drive to meet the requirements of torque and speed.Nowadays, there are many kinds of stepper motor and its driving technology, this paper analyzes and compares various stepper motor and its driving technology. Select using two phase hybrid stepper motor and subdivision drive control as the main body and drive technology of stepper motor. Hybrid stepper motor has advantages of both reaction and permanent magnet, it is the most representative of the stepper motor. Subdivision drive technology can effectively solve the problem of the stepper motor’s oscillation and step loss, using current tracking PWM technology to realize subdivision driving current waveform control, this paper adopts special driving chip to realize the Step-angle fine-index.On the basis of analyzing the principle of stepper motor, the mathematical model of stepper motor is established, matlab simulation of stepper motor control system is carried out and the transfer function is calculated according to the two-phase hybrid stepper motor 24HD320D8. According to this transfer function, the PID speed closed-loop control strategy algorithm is designed. The hardware system and software system of two phase hybrid stepper motor driver are designed as the stepper motor driver. Solve a series of problems that may exist in the process.At last, the closed-loop control algorithm and subdivision control method of stepper motor are simulated. The results show that these methods and the performance are superior. Test the driver and the results show that the stepper motor driver can meet the requirements of torque and speed of the jacquard system, can reduce vibration and noise, improve the motor performance.
