The issue of grain directly correlates to the national economy and people’s livelihood, so the secure preservation of grain is revealing its significance. Moisture content of the harvesting grain is relatively high,it will incur the loss of grain because of mildew if it is directly stored. But the existing drying equipment has the characteristics of complex structure, high cost, high cost and poor economic performance.This paper analyzed the carrying capacity and the structural strength of the rectangular silo. By using ANSYS finite element analysis software, the granary effect and the structure strength of the rectangular silo is analyzed. According to the experiment, the maximum stress and strain values of the barn and the rectangular silo are obtained, and the structure of the rectangular silo is analyzed under the condition of the structure strength requirement. The main research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Study of granary effect, using ANSYS finite element analysis software to validate granary effect, contrast experiment and the simulation analysis result, 0.8 m in pressure saturation phenomenon;(2)In different load cases, strength of rectangular silo and structure stress analysis, get the rectangular silo ascend a maximum stress occurs in storehouse, the stress is small yield stress of steel materials. So the rectangular silo structure strength meet the requirements of design index;(3)Under internal and external heat load under the action of wind load, strength of rectangular silo structure is analyzed, it is concluded that with the increase of grain bearing, capsule of the steady state highest temperature and food basically remain unchanged, the maximum temperature and maximum deformation and maximum equivalent stress of capsule slightly reduced. At the same time, the greater the resistance to thermal deformation of silo(thermal expansion) on the stiffness of the silo. Can be seen from the maximum equivalent stress results of capsule, the rectangular silo satisfy the requirement of strength and design;(4) in the strength to meet the design requirements of the situation, rectangular silo structure optimization analysis, reducing its rectangular silo outer wall, in order to achieve weight loss purposes. So that the overall weight loss was 26.2% of the silo optimization analysis.
