Research On The Current Situation And Influence Factors Of Xinjiang Logistics Industry’s Carbon Emissions

Under the background of global warming,environmental pollution and energy tighter,“Low-Carbon”gradually comes into people’s vision.Low-carbon economy which adjusting the pattern of economic development,promoting industrial restructuring,achieving harmonious development of environment and economy has become a new norm efforts advocated by local governments.However,as one of the six pillar industries in Xinjiang,logistics is still in a high energy and high carbon of row extensive develop stage. If Xinjiang wants to seize the opportunities and challenges of this “green wave”,the key is to explore a low-carbon development road of logistics industry, in order to achieve the target of harmonious develop with environment and drive the development of low-carbon economy in Xinjiang.Firstly,this paper targets the development status of Xinjiang logistics industry from the macroscopic development,development potential and energy consumption during the 1995-2012.Then using the discharge coefficient method to estimate carbon emissions of Xinjiang logistics industry,and basing on the results from total carbon emission and carbon intensity to judge current stage of carbon emissions during this period.Secondly,using EKC and decoupling model respectively from long-term trend and short-term change to analyze the feature of Xinjiang logistics industry’s carbon emissions.Thirdly, using LMDI method from Carbon factor,energy structure,energy intensity,industrial structure and economic scale five aspects to further divide and analyse the influence factors of carbon emissions of logistics industry.Lastly,proposing low-carbon countermeasures according to the above findings and the actual situation of Xinjiang.The study indicates that the total carbon emissions of Xinjiang logistics is periodical growth,but carbon intensity has declined.Xinjiang logistics’ carbon emissions lies in status of uncoordinated and decoupling with self-development;Carbon factor,energy structure and energy intensity are all damperson the growth of carbon emissions,and energy intensity leads to the highest level of inhibition,but energy structure shows a greater potential of carbon footprints.While the industrial structure and economic scale are all pull factors,economic scale is the main driving force.Since inhibitory effect is less than the effect of promoting,so the logistics industry shows continued growth in carbon emissions;Xinjiang logistics industry needs to proceed from the energy structure and energy intensity,through joint effort and improving efficiency of logistics to guarantee the whole process’ s low-carbon, so that Xinjiang hits the green development target that coordinated development with ecological environment and carbon emissions decoupling.
