As a renewable alternative energy, solar energy is undoubtedly promising, butthe efficiency of photovoltaic power generation is to be improved. The aim of PVsystem maximum power point tracking is to extract the output power of the PV arrayto the maximum, and photovoltaic systems merits of islanding detection algorithmdirectly affect the safety of the system, as well as the power generation efficiency ofthe system. Thus, in order to improve the efficiency of photovoltaic power generation,a deep analysis on the maximum power point tracking algorithm and the islandingdetection algorithm of the grid-connected photovoltaic system were made in thispaper, and advanced ideas of incremental conductance method and active frequencydrift with positive feedback algorithm have been proposed.In this paper, the traditional methods of maximum power point tracking havebeen researched. On the basis of comparison with the advantages and disadvantagesof several existing maximum power, an improved incremental conductance algorithmhave been proposed. The superiority is the proposed approach can effectivelyimprove the MPP tracking speed and accuracy simultaneously by regulating thetracking step size, so that the power efficiency of the PV system was effectivelyimproved. Via MATLAB modeling, the validity of the algorithm is simulated, and thecontradiction between the speed and stability were improved.After studying several existing proactive islanding detection methods, animproved AFDPF algorithm was proposed. Compared with the traditional AFDPFalgorithm, the improved algorithm can detect the island faste r, and can effectivelyreduce the system THD in normal operation. Based on MATLAB modeling andsimulation, the superiority of the algorithm has been proved. The contradictionbetween the time cost and harmonics caused by the algorithm were improved.A two-stage DSP-based single-phase grid-connected PV system was designed, inorder to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the methods mentioned above.
