With the rapid development of the national economy, the demand for power is increasing day by day in China. Because of the the uneven distribution of coal resources, insufficient transport capacity and large reserves of lean coal, many coal-fired power plants can not run with the designed coal all the time. They have to feed on blended coal, which is made of kinds of single coal, and whose quality is affected by the quality and ratio of each single coal. With the given kinds of single coal, different coal blending ratio will bring different economical efficiency to the power unit. Also, it will affect the power unit’s safety and environmental performance. Analyzing and calculating the indicators of the power unit in safety, environmental protection and economy with different blending ratio and searching the best blending ratio, we can make the power unit run in a better way.Taking the 600 MW thermal power units in a power plant as example, this thesis focuses on the qualities of blended coal and single coal as well as the relationship between the ratio of the two kinds of coal, in the hope of seeking the appropriate way to calculate the quality of blended coal and finish the thermal calculation of the boiler. It also deals with how to judge the safety of the power unit boiler under different ratios of the blended coal and single coal, ranging from the judgment of slagging, the judgment of overheating and the judgment of low temperature corrosion. It predicts the emission amount of pollutants while the blended coal is burning, analyzing the environmentally friendly efficiency of the power unit while it is working. Then, in this thesis, it calculates the cost of energy consumption and the cost of the boiler’s operation, including the the coal pulverizing system, flue gas desulfurization system, the primary air fans, the forced draft fans and induced draft fans and the other auxiliary boiler system. And then, under the restrictive conditions of safety and in an environmentally friendly way, the thesis gives the most economical blending ratio.At last, as to the 600 MW power unit boiler, the blended coal combustion optimization guidance platform for thermal power plant boiler is to be established, which contains five parts including ratio optimization, coal feeding monitorring, operating guidance, combustion monitoring and coal purchase advise. It calculates the best blending ratio and combines it with combustion adjusting experiment. And then, it analyses the unit’s operating performance. According to the analysis, optimizing guidance recommendations are given under different working conditions. The thesis indicates that the recommendations for development and experience should be constantly summarized as regular patterns for blended coal combustion, guiding the blended coal combustion in theoretical level and practical level and ensuring that the boiler is stable, safe, environmentally friendly and economical.
